BAO's commitment to humanity is extended to the humanitarian response where timely and effective aid to people in crisis such as victims of natural disasters, wars, or famines is provided. The organization works both with internal displaced persons (IDPs) for example those from natural disasters such as floods to refugees fleeing their countries as a result of internal conflicts.
Since 2013 BAO has worked in IDPs programs in Dar es Salaam and Morogoro regions serving hundreds of children and youth affected by floods.
From 2015 the organization work in Kigoma region in refugee camps mostly Burundians and Congolese where the focus is on Child Protection and Education programs that include the Accelerated Education Programs (AEP), ECCD, literacy, and numeracy interventions in Nduta, Nyarugusu and Mtendeli camps.
We thank all partners such as UNHCR, Save the Children, NRC, DRC, Unicef, JRS and the Ministry of Home Affairs through the department of Refugee Services that have made BAO great through their unconditional support.
